Vindhyachal is one of the oldest goddess centres of north India, mentioned in the Harivamsa and the Devi Mahatmya. The trikona (triangle) parikrama joins Vindhyavasini with Kali Khoh, a cave shrine of Kali, and Ashtabhuja, an eight-armed form of Saraswati, on the hills. Navaratri brings huge crowds.
