A Chandela temple of about 1050-1075 in the Eastern group at Khajuraho, dedicated to Vamana, the dwarf avatar of Vishnu. Its tall single spire has no cluster of smaller spires, unusual at Khajuraho.

The temple stands alone in a field east of the village. Its walls carry two rows of sculpture, including many figures of celestial women, while the plain spire gives it a cleaner outline than the older temples.
