A goddess temple in a seasonal river valley of the Shivalik hills, dedicated to Shakumbhari, the goddess who fed the world with vegetables during a famine. Pilgrims first worship Bhura Dev, her guardian, at a nearby shrine.

The temple stands on the dry bed of a stream, which floods in the monsoon. The fairs at Navaratri, especially in Ashvin, bring crowds from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand. Many families visit to make offerings of vegetables and fruit.
