The largest of the eighteen Jain temples of Moodbidri, known as the 'thousand-pillar temple'. Built about 1430, it enshrines Chandranatha (Chandraprabha) and every pillar is carved differently.

The temple has sloping copper-covered roofs in the coastal style over three storeys. A tall stone pillar (manasthambha) stands in front. Moodbidri also holds old palm-leaf manuscripts of Jain texts, the Dhavala texts.
