A temple of Krishna as Radha Raman, whose small image is said to have emerged from a shalagrama stone worshipped by the Gaudiya saint Gopal Bhatta Goswami in 1542. It is one of the original seven temples of the Gaudiya Vaishnavas in Vrindavan, and its image has never left the town.

Gopal Bhatta Goswami, from the south, was one of the six Goswamis sent by Chaitanya to rediscover the holy places of Braj. The temple kept its image during the troubled times of the 17th century, when others were moved to Rajasthan. The kitchen fire is said to have been kept burning since the image appeared.

Gopal Bhatta longed to dress and decorate Krishna, but a shalagrama has no limbs. On the full moon of Vaishakha, the stone opened into a small, smiling image of Krishna.
