The temple of Paidithalli, the guardian goddess of Vizianagaram. Her Sirimanu festival, when the priest is carried on the end of a long wooden pole through the town, draws lakhs of people each autumn.

On Sirimanu day the priest sits on a seat at the tip of a tall pole mounted on a cart, which is swung three times past the fort. A smaller shrine stands where the goddess's image is said to have been found in a tank.
