A temple of the goddess Mahalakshmi at Bandora near Ponda. She is said to have been brought here from Colva in Salcete when the Portuguese destroyed temples in the 16th century.

Bandora also holds the Nagesh and Ramnath temples, and the village was one of the main refuges for displaced deities. The Mahalakshmi temple has a quiet courtyard and a Goan-style hall; the goddess is the family deity of many Goan Hindu families.
