A small stone Shiva temple of the Kadamba period that was taken apart and rebuilt on higher ground when the Salaulim dam flooded the village of Curdi. Every summer, when the reservoir falls, the old village reappears.

Curdi was a farming village of the Sanguem hills. When the Salaulim dam was built, its people were moved away and the temple was carried to a new site. In the dry months the old village emerges from the water and former residents return to pray.
