A terracotta temple of Krishna at Joydev Kenduli, traditionally the birthplace of the poet Jayadeva, who wrote the Gita Govinda in the 12th century. A great fair of Baul singers is held here each January.

The temple is a tall nine-spired (navaratna) style building with terracotta scenes from the Ramayana and Krishna's life. The Joydev Mela on Poush Sankranti brings Bauls and pilgrims, who bathe in the Ajay.
