A twin temple of Shiva at the foot of Nandi Hills, begun in the 9th century and added to by later dynasties. One shrine is Arunachaleshwara, Shiva as an ascetic, and the other is Bhoga Nandeeshwara, Shiva as a householder.

The temple has a large stepped tank, the Shringi Tirtha, said to be the source of the Pennar river. The Vijayanagara kalyana mandapa has finely carved black stone pillars. A third shrine, Umamaheshwara, stands between the two.
